COMP NO. 4 – 19th MAY.

Car parks nearly full again but its not the clubbies. Waves must be good. Danga’s took over the contest directors job again and located the contest south of the river mouth 3 to 4’ lefts and occasional rights all mixed in with one mother of a north south rip. Just what everyone wants more paddling practice.

Juniors were the first heat in the water and it was a final.

1st-JAYDEN GRIFFIYHS
2nd – JOHN BLACKWELL
3rd – JAY BROWN
4th – NATHERN COVES
5th – DANE WHITESIDE
6th – JARED EDWARDS

Jayden first again. What can I say the kids on fire. All competitors showed excellent form showing full commitment to all their turns as can be seen by the photos above.

Masters Final
1st – BRETT (Dangas) DAINTREE
2nd – MARK (Nongo) CARLSON
3rd – DON McCAW
4th – PAUL (Ryno) RYAN
5th - HANS BENDL
6th – NEIL TASKER

The rip was in full swing for this final and it showed in the results. The younger the Master the higher you finished. The top three caught some nice waves.

OPEN FINAL
1st – DENNIS (Rawy) WRIGHT
2nd - DAN (Marzy) MARZUK
3rd –SHAUN (Wazza) WARREN
4th – TROY (Woodrow) WOODS
5th – JAYDEN GRIFFITH
6th – IAN (Fish Killer) SPENCER

Red hot final with Jayden trying for the rare double – Junior and open comp champion at the same comp. Jaydens effort was good but I think these guys only had experience over him. Rawy and Marzy went at it wave for wave until the final minutes when Rawy found a barrel good enough for the judges to give him the decision.
