Pointscore No.5 of 2010

Garie turned on perfect 3-4 foot swell and light North West winds for the August point score. The first heat saw the Masters hit the water with Jelly out there talking up his waves trying to put the mocka on the others. Jelly won the heat by 0.5 after someone caught a real barrel not a Steele head dip.

In the first open heat Troy Wood, winner of the last Open point score took an early exit to Marzy 1st, Danga 2nd and Jelly 3rd.

Rocket Rod Morgan stamped his authority on the competition in Open heat 2, taking it out with Fishkiller and Chris Robo 2nd and 3rd respectively. Salsy got a 4th to progress in this 7 manner.

The second Masters heat saw Fishkiller knock of Browny for a win with Dave Keating in 3rd after Troy Wood no-showed, having too much fun on the better left back off Middle Rill Creek. Heat 6 was the Junior final which was a dead heat between the Robo lads. Heat 7 was decided with the flip of a coin as Fergo, Itchy Rat and Tasker all no showed. Browny won that betting on heads with a coin toss.
The hard way to the Masters Final - Repechage saw Robo 1st, Danga 2nd and Browny 3rd progress.

The open semi-finals we dominated by Rod Morgan who smashed it, with every set wave in that one. Corey Robo and Danga made up 2nd and 3rd. Marzy smashed the other semi with Fishkiller and Ryan Pike also progressing.

The Masters Final saw Robo out to the lead early with the rest playing catch up. Browny and Fishkiller were 2nd and 3rd early and Danga was bring up the rear. Patience paid off with Danga getting two late waves, one 30 seconds out from the end to pip Robo 2nd with Browny 3rd and Fishkiller 4th.

The open final was a repeat of the semi-finals with Rocket Rod and Marzy dominating. The bottom end of the final saw Danga and Pike with not one wave with 2 minutes left on the clock it looked like both were heading for a zero Final score. Fishkiller and Corey were fighting out 3rd and 4th. Rocket Rod pipped Marzy, 1 & 2, Fishkiller pipped Corey, 3 & 4, Danga caught a wave and pipped Pike who for the first time in the history of the club managed to get a zero score in the Open Final.
